AN ACT
Amending the act of October 22, 2014 (P.L.2853, No.173),
entitled "An act providing for operators of unconventional
wells to make certain reports to the Department of
Environmental Protection; imposing duties on the department;
and repealing provisions in Title 58 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes," further providing for unconventional
well reports.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 3 of the act of October 22, 2014
(P.L.2853, No.173), known as the Unconventional Well Report Act,
is amended by adding a subsection to read:
Section 3. Unconventional well reports.

(b.1) Waste reporting.--
(1) The report submitted on February 15 and August 15 of
each year shall include information on the amount and type of
waste produced and the method of waste disposal or reuse,
including the specific facility or well site where the waste
was managed for the preceding six months. The department may
not require more frequent reporting than is required under

this subsection.
(2) Waste information submitted to the department in
accordance with this subsection is deemed to satisfy the
residual waste biennial reporting requirements of 25 Pa. Code
ยง 287.52 (relating to biennial report).

Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
