AN ACT
Amending the act of June 13, 1967 (P.L.31, No.21), entitled "An
act to consolidate, editorially revise, and codify the public
welfare laws of the Commonwealth," in departmental powers and
duties as to supervision, adding provisions relating to
certain group-based homes.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. The act of June 13, 1967 (P.L.31, No.21), known
as the Human Services Code, is amended by adding a section to
read:
Section 921.1. Group-based Homes.--A group-based home, as
that term is defined under 61 Pa.C.S. ยง 6124 (relating to
certain offenders residing in group-based homes), which provides
concurrent residence to three or more individuals required by
law to register as sexual offenders under 42 Pa.C.S. Ch. 97
Subch. H (relating to registration of sexual offenders), shall
be deemed an "institution" for purposes of section 921.
Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
