A RESOLUTION
Extending deepest condolences on the death of Trooper Landon E.
Weaver of Troop G, Huntingdon Barracks, who was killed in the
line of duty on December 30, 2016, in Juniata Township,
Huntingdon County, and respectfully commending his honorable
service.
WHEREAS, Trooper Landon E. Weaver was born November 11, 1993,
in Altoona, Blair County, son of Eric E. and Christine L.
Weaver; and
WHEREAS, Trooper Weaver, who grew up in rural Blair County,
lived with his wife Macy Weaver in Martinsburg; and
WHEREAS, Trooper Weaver was a 2012 graduate of Central High
School in Martinsburg; and
WHEREAS, Prior to his 2015 induction in the Pennsylvania
State Police Academy, Trooper Weaver was a dean's list student
pursuing an undergraduate degree in criminology at Indiana

University of Pennsylvania; and
WHEREAS, Trooper Weaver attended Zion Lutheran Church in
Williamsburg; and
WHEREAS, Trooper Weaver and his wife, who met as Spring Cove
Middle School students, were married at Zion Lutheran Church on
June 4, 2016; and
WHEREAS, On June 17, 2016, Trooper Weaver graduated from the
Pennsylvania State Police Academy; and
WHEREAS, Trooper Weaver applied a strong sense of focus and
rigor in protecting the safety and security of others and
bravely accepted the attendant risks; and
WHEREAS, Trooper Weaver is survived by his wife, parents,
brother Larett and paternal grandparents; and
WHEREAS, Trooper Weaver was buried with full Pennsylvania
State Police honors; and
WHEREAS, The House of Representatives joins Trooper Weaver's
family, friends and neighbors, and his colleagues at the
Huntingdon Barracks, in mourning his loss; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives extend deepest
condolences on the death of Trooper Landon E. Weaver of Troop G,
Huntingdon Barracks, who was killed in the line of duty on
December 30, 2016, in Juniata Township, Huntingdon County, and
respectfully commend his honorable service.
