AN ACT
Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, in riot, disorderly conduct and
related offenses, further providing for cruelty to animals.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 5511(m.1) of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
ยง 5511. Cruelty to animals.

(m.1) Fine for summary offense.--In addition to any other
penalty provided by law, a person convicted of a summary offense
under this section shall pay a fine of not less than [$50] $250
nor more than $750 or to imprisonment for not more than 90 days,
or both.

Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
