AN ACT
Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, in assault, defining the offense of
occupational intimidation; and prescribing a penalty.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Title 18 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
§ 2710.1. Occupational intimidation.
(a) Offense defined.--A person commits the offense of
occupational intimidation if, with malicious intention toward a
law enforcement official, a firefighter, an emergency services
provider or an employee or agent of a county children and youth
social service agency or toward law enforcement officials,
firefighters, emergency services providers or employees or
agents of county children and youth social service agencies as a
group, based upon the occupation of the individual or the
occupational group, the person commits an offense under any
other provision of this chapter or under Chapter 33 (relating to
