AN ACT
Designating the bridge, identified as Bridge Key 53825, on that
portion of State Route 1011, also known as Castile Run Road,
over the South Fork Tenmile Creek between Jefferson Township
and Clarksville Borough, Greene County, as the PFC Brent A.
McClellan Memorial Bridge.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. PFC Brent A. McClellan Memorial Bridge.
(a) Findings.--The General Assembly finds and declares as
follows:
(1) Private First Class Brent A. McClellan was born on
March 18, 1944, to Mr. and Mrs. George McClellan, Jr., in
Clarksville, Greene County.
(2) In 1963, PFC McClellan graduated from Jefferson-
Morgan High School in Jefferson, Greene County.
(3) In May of 1965, PFC McClellan was drafted into the
United States Army to undertake basic training and advanced

infantry training.
(4) Upon the completion of his training, PFC McClellan
was selected to serve in the Honor Guard at Fort Myers,
Virginia, near Washington D.C., during which time he was
chosen to stand by the grave of President John F. Kennedy.
(5) In December of 1965, PFC McClellan was deployed to
Vietnam, where he was assigned as an infantryman to the 1st
Platoon, B Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Cavalry, 1st Cavalry
Division, during the Vietnam Conflict.
(6) On February 28, 1966, at 21 years of age, PFC
McClellan was killed in an ambush by hostile forces during
Operation Masher, also known as Operation White Wing, in Binh
Dinh Province, South Vietnam.
(7) PFC McClellan's awards include the Purple Heart, the
National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal,
the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Combat Infantryman Badge.
(b) Designation.--The bridge, identified as Bridge Key
53825, located on that portion of State Route 1011, also known
as Castile Run Road, over the South Fork Tenmile Creek between
Jefferson Township and Clarksville Borough, Greene County, is
hereby designated as the PFC Brent A. McClellan Memorial Bridge.
(c) Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and
maintain appropriate signs displaying the name of the bridge to
traffic in both directions on the bridge.
Section 2. Effective date.
This act shall take effect in 60 days.
