AN ACT
Amending Title 58 (Oil and Gas) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
Statutes, in unconventional gas well fee, further providing
for distribution of fee and for Statewide initiatives.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Sections 2314 and 2315 of Title 58 of the
Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes are amended by adding
subsections to read:
§ 2314. Distribution of fee.

(c.4) Marcellus Legacy Fund.--Beginning with fees collected
in 2018, in addition to any other amount deposited in the
Marcellus Legacy Fund under section 2315 (relating to Statewide
initiatives), 1% of the fees collected under this chapter shall
be deposited in the Marcellus Legacy Fund for the purposes
described in section 2315(b.1).

(b.1) Use of funds for environmental damage mitigation.--The
1% fee deposited into the Marcellus Legacy Fund in accordance
with section 2314(c.4) shall be used to mitigate environmental
damage caused by pipelines in this Commonwealth.

Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
