AN ACT
Amending Title 34 (Game) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
Statutes, in hunting and furtaking, further providing for
unlawful devices and methods.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 2308(a)(2) of Title 34 of the
Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes is amended and the section is
amended by adding a subsection to read:
ยง 2308. Unlawful devices and methods.
(a) General rule.--Except as otherwise provided in this
title, it is unlawful for any person to hunt or aid, abet,
assist or conspire to hunt any game or wildlife through the use
of:

(2) A semiautomatic rifle or pistol, except as set forth
in subsection (b.1).

(b.1) Additional exception.--A semiautomatic rifle may be
used to hunt coyotes and woodchucks in accordance with
regulations of the commission except during:
(1) Regular firearm season for deer.
(2) Regular firearm season for bear.
(3) Spring and fall season for turkey. GAME IN
ACCORDANCE WITH REGULATIONS PROMULGATED BY THE COMMISSION.

Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days
