AN ACT
Amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), entitled "An
act relating to the public school system, including certain
provisions applicable as well to private and parochial
schools; amending, revising, consolidating and changing the
laws relating thereto," in pupils and attendance, prohibiting
smoking at bus stops.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. The act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), known
as the Public School Code of 1949, is amended by adding a
section to read:
Section 1368. Smoking Prohibited.-- (a) A student of a
public school, private school or charter school may not smoke
within twenty-five (25) feet of a school bus stop.
(b) The prohibition under subsection (a) shall be enforced
as follows:
(1) The prohibition shall include only the outdoor area
within twenty-five (25) feet of the bus stop.
(2) If the bus stop is a public stop also used by public
