AN ACT

 

1Amending the act of April 16, 1992 (P.L.155, No.28), entitled
2"An act providing for the certification and recertification
3of assessors; establishing eligibility and training
4requirements; defining the powers and duties of the State
5Board of Certified Real Estate Appraisers relating to
6training, certification and recertification of assessors; and
7authorizing the board to establish fees," further providing
8for nonapplicability; and providing for assessors in counties
9of the first class.

10The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
11hereby enacts as follows:

12Section 1. Section 11 of the act of April 16, 1992 (P.L.155,
13No.28), known as the Assessors Certification Act, amended
14November 19, 2004 (P.L.834, No.100), is repealed:

15[Section 11. Nonapplicability.

16This act shall not apply to counties of the first class.]

17Section 2. The act is amended by adding a section to read:

18Section 11.1. Assessors in counties of the first class.

19An assessor who is employed by a county of the first class on
20the effective date of this section shall have three years from
21the effective date of this section to become certified under

1this act.

2Section 3. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
