| A RESOLUTION |
| |
1 | Designating the month of June 2011 as "Men's Health Month" in |
2 | Pennsylvania. |
3 | WHEREAS, Men's Health Month is set aside to increase |
4 | awareness of preventable health conditions; and |
5 | WHEREAS, Men's Health Month further increases awareness of |
6 | the value of early detection and treatment for male-specific |
7 | diseases; and |
8 | WHEREAS, Health care providers, policymakers, media |
9 | representatives and many individuals in our communities |
10 | recognize the importance of seeking regular medical advice and |
11 | early treatment for disease or injury; and |
12 | WHEREAS, The Senate urges establishment and recognition of |
13 | men's health initiatives in our communities, participation in |
14 | events raising awareness of men's health issues and widespread |
15 | adoption of healthy lifestyles; therefore be it |
16 | RESOLVED, That the Senate designate the month of June 2011 as |
17 | "Men's Health Month" in Pennsylvania. |
