AN ACT

Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the

2

Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, further providing for

3

powers and duties of the Juvenile Court Judges' Commission.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

5

hereby enacts as follows:

6

Section 1.  Section 6373(4) of Title 42 of the Pennsylvania

7

Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:

8

§ 6373.  Powers and duties.

9

The commission shall have the power and is required to do the

10

following:

(4)  Collect[, compile and publish such statistical] and

[other] analyze data [as may be needed] to [accomplish] 

14

identify trends and evidence-based programs and practices to

15

ensure reasonable and efficient administration of the

16

juvenile [courts] justice system; make recommendations

concerning best practices to judges, the Administrative

Office of Pennsylvania Courts and other appropriate entities;

2

and post on the commission's Internet website appropriate

3

information.

Collect and analyze data to identify trends and to determine

the effectiveness of programs and practices to ensure the

reasonable and efficient administration of the juvenile court

programs and practices to judges, the Administrative Office

12

of Pennsylvania Courts and other appropriate entities; and

13

post related information on the commission's publicly

14

accessible Internet website.

Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
