| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending the act of February 1, 1966 (1965 P.L.1656, No.581), |
2 | entitled "An act concerning boroughs, and revising, amending |
3 | and consolidating the law relating to boroughs," in |
4 | contracts, further providing for regulation of contracts. |
5 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
6 | hereby enacts as follows: |
7 | Section 1. Section 1402(d)(3.1) of the act of February 1, |
8 | 1966 (1965 P.L.1656, No.581), known as The Borough Code, amended |
9 | or added December 18, 1996 (P.L.1141, No.171) and December 18, |
10 | 1996 (P.L.1156, No.176), is amended to read: |
11 | Section 1402. Regulation of Contracts.--* * * |
12 | (d) The contracts or purchases made by council, which shall |
13 | not require advertising, bidding or price quotations as |
14 | hereinbefore provided, are as follows: |

16 | (3.1) Those for used equipment, articles, apparatus, |

1 | appliances, vehicles or parts thereof being purchased from a |
2 | public utility, municipal corporation, county, school district, |
3 | municipality authority, council of government or Federal or |
4 | State government. |

6 | Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days. |
