AN ACT
1 Amending the act of August 21, 1953 (P.L.1323), entitled "An act
2 concerning notaries public; and amending, revising,
3 consolidating and changing the law relating thereto,"
4 reducing certain age requirements.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. Section 3, act of August 21, 1953 (P.L.1323),
8 known as "The Notary Public Law," is amended to read:
9 Section 3. Eligibility.--Any citizen of Pennsylvania, being
10 [twenty-one (21)] eighteen (18) years of age or over, of known
11 character, integrity and ability, shall be eligible to the
12 office of notary public, if he shall have resided within this
13 Commonwealth for at least two (2) years immediately preceding
14 the date of his appointment, and if he shall be a registered
15 elector in the Commonwealth.
