AMENDMENTS TO HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 287

Amend Resolution, page 1, line 4, by inserting after
"people;"
condemning Russia for continuing support of the Syrian regime;
Amend Resolution, page 3, lines 23 and 24, by striking out
"therefore be" in line 23 and all of line 24 and inserting
and
WHEREAS, Russian President Vladimir Putin continues to
support the regime of Bashar al-Assad; and
WHEREAS, Russia vetoed a United Nations resolution condemning
the April 2017 deadly gas attack in Syria, believed to have been
carried out with sarin gas, the eighth time during Syria's six-
year-old civil war that Moscow has used its veto power on the
United Nations Security Council to shield Assad's government;
therefore be it
Amend Resolution, page 3, by inserting between lines 29 and
30
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania condemn Russian President Vladimir
Putin and Russia for the continuing support for the regime of
Bashar al-Assad; and be it further
