AMENDMENTS TO HOUSE BILL NO. 1037

Amend Bill, page 2, by inserting between lines 21 and 22
(3) If any officer, employee or agent of the
entities under paragraph (2)(i) or (ii) makes a good
faith report of neglect or abuse of a patient to law
enforcement, the Department of Human Services, the
department or a family member or individual associated
with the patient's care, the report shall not be grounds
for termination of employment from the entity, and no
retaliatory action may be taken by the entity against the
officer, employee or agent making the report.
Amend Bill, page 2, line 22, by striking out "(3)" and
inserting
(4)
