WARNER, Henry, a Representative from Allegheny County; born in Allegheny County, Pa., May 30, 1838; second lieutenant, Independent Battery G, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1862-1865, Civil War); apprenticed printer; bookstore clerk (1853-1856); bookkeeper, Diamond Flour Mills (1860-1861); proprietor, Warner, Lewis & Company, general merchandise (1865-1866); private bookkeeper; elected, common council, Allegheny City (now Pittsburgh)(1867-1870; president, 1870); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1870; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1871); elected, controller, Allegheny County (1872-1878); manager, Morganza reform school (1872-1875); general manager and vice-president, Pittsburgh & Southern Railroad (1879); appointed, commissioner, Allegheny County (1880); elected but unserved, commissioner, Allegheny County (1881); superintendent, Allegheny County Workhouse (1881-1890); president, Commercial National Bank; director, Mercantile Trust Company; director, Third National Bank of Allegheny; died, September 7, 1895 in Aspinwall, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Allegheny Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
