McCALL, Keith R., a Representative from Carbon, Luzerne and Monroe Counties; born in Coaldale, Schuylkill County, Pa., December 16, 1959; graduated, Marian Catholic High School, 1977; attended, The Pennsylvania State University, 1977-1978; attended, Harrisburg Area Community College, 1979-1981; field auditor, Pennsylvania Department of the Auditor General (1978-1982); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1983 term; reelected to serve 13 consecutive terms thereafter; elected, Majority Whip (2007-2008); elected, Speaker (2009-2010); appointed, Pennsylvania Emergency Management Authority (1995-1998); appointed, Select Committee on Toll Roads (2004-2005); appointed, Joint State Government Commission (2007-2010); appointed, Pennsylvania Higher Educational Facilities Authority (2009-2010); appointed, State Public School Building Authority (2009-2010); not a candidate for reelection to the House (2010); appointed, Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (2011-present).
