SHAW, John Irwin, a Representative from Allegheny County; born, October 26, 1858 in Turtle Creek, Allegheny County, Pa.; attended, Princeton College (now Princeton University); photograph and frame merchant; proprietor, Shaw Bros., printers; elected, council, Bellevue; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1896 and 1898; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1900); president, Mortgage Banking  Company; died, October 28, 1922 in Glen Osborne, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Highwood Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
