DUSH, Cris, a Representative from Indiana and Jefferson Counties; born in March of 1961 in DuBois, Clearfield County, Pa.; graduated, Brookeville Area High School, 1979; graduated, U.S. Air Force Law Enforcement Academy, 1983; A.A.S., criminal justice, Community College of the Air Force; attended, communications, Clarion State College (now Pennsylvania Western University, Clarion); attended, University of Louisville, Alan Hancock College, Southern Illinois University and the United States Air Force Non-Commissioned Officer Academy; served, law enforcement, flight chief, hostage negotiation team chief, anti-terrorism program manager, United States Air Force (1982-1990); served, Pennsylvania Air National Guard (2000-present: Security Forces member, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Noble Eagle; Chief of Information Protection, at present); insurance fraud investigator (1990-1995); resource protection technical consultant, United States Department of Defense and NASA; records supervisor, Pennsylvania Department of Corrections (1995-2004); corrections officer, Pennsylvania Department of Corrections (2004-2012); unsuccessful campaign for election to the House (2012); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 2014, 2016 and 2018; not a candidate for reelection to the House (2020); elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (2020-present); member, Legislative Budget and Finance Committee (2021-present); member, Local Government Commission (2021-present).
