Brigadier General Daniel Gerberich Stine, born November 23, 1812, East Hanover Township, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania; son of Abraham Stein and Anna Barbara Gerberich Stein; brigadier general, Pennsylvania Militia, five years; merchant; iron manufacturer; justice of the peace, 1840-1851; elected, Whig, Pennsylvania House of Representatives, 1842-1843; elected, Pennsylvania State Senate, 1849-1851; elected, Senate Speaker pro tempore, 1851; married, Margaret Albertdal Stine, children, Malinda Barbara Stine Kaub, Caroline Elizabeth Stine, Jane Catharine Stine, John Daniel Stine, Adele Margaret Stine; died, May 29, 1851, (39 years, 7 months and 10 days) Myerstown, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania; interment, Mount Hope Cemetery, Myerstown, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.
