Early Life: 

James Wilson McKee, born February 26, 1858, New Bloomfield Perry County, Pennsylvania; son of Wilson and Martha Milligan McKee; public  school education; Bloomfield Academy; admitted Perry County bar, 1884; able to practice, Supreme Court, Pennsylvania, but never enggaed actively in the practice of his profession; served, deputy Prothonetary; clerk, Perry County Commissions, 1886-1892; elected, register, recorder, clerk of orphans court, 1894-1900; elected, Republican, Pennsylvania State Senate, 1901-1904; died, December, 7, 1927, at the home of cousin, District Attorney James M. McKee, New Bloomfield, Perry County, Pennsylvania; Interment, Bloomfield Cemetery, New Bloomfield, Perry County, Pennsylvania. 

Pennsylvania Politics:    

Served, deputy Prothonotary; clerk, Perry County Commissions, 1886-1892.

Elected, Republican, register, recorder, clerk of orphan's court, 1894-1900.
