SALVATORE, Frank Angelo “Hank,” a Representative from Philadelphia County; born in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa., June 2, 1922; graduated, Northeast High School; attended, St. Joseph’s College of Industrial Relations; attended, Fels Institute, University of Pennsylvania; hon. doctorate, Holy Family College; sergeant, United States Marine Corps  (1942-1945, World War II); field auditor, Pennsylvania Department of Revenue; employed, Benjamin Rush Center for Mental health and Mental Retardation; owner, L & M Specialty Beverage; principal, Hank’s Root Beer; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1973 term and served 5 consecutive terms thereafter; elected, Minority Caucus Administrator (1977-1978, 1983-1984); elected, Majority Caucus Administrator (1979-1982); appointed, Special Committee to Review Juvenile Unrest and Gang Wars in the Philadelphia Area (1973-1974); appointed, Select Committee to Investigate Limerick II (1984); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1984); elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1985-2000); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the Senate (2000); died, July 16, 2014 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Resurrection Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
