General Henry Hibshman, born October 11, 1774; son of Wendell and Hannah G. Heffley Hibschman; commissioned officer, War of 1812; General, Pennsylvania State Militia; unsuccessful campaigns, Pennsylvania State House of Representatives, 1809, 1810; elected, Pennsylvania State House of Representatives, Lancaster County, 1811; unsuccessful campaigns, Pennsylvania State House of Representatives, 1812, 1813, 1814; elected, Pennsylvania State House of Representatives, 1815, unsuccessful reelection, 1816; elected, Pennsylvania State House of Representatives, 1821; elected, Anti-Mason, Pennsylvania State Senate, 1832-1836; married, Catharine Millerin Hibshman, (d. 1817) married, Hannah Schweitzer Hibshman, daughter, Mary Ann Hibshman Keller; died, May 24, 1859 (aged 84), Hibschman Cemetery, Ephrata, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
