Frank Rowland, born September 7, 1850 Rowland, Pike County, Pennsylvania; son of George H. and Catherine Ammerman Rowland; public schools education; Fort Edward Collegiate Institute, New York; Eastman's Business College, Poughkeepsie, New York; general store G.F. Rowland and Company, sold 1899; postmaster of Rowland, 1872, 1897; elected treasurer, Pike County, 1899; unsuccessful Democratic nominee, United States House of Representatives, 1902, 1904; delegate, Democratic State Conventions, 1904, 1905; Congressional conferee several times; engaged, farming, lumbering, real estate; elected, Democrat, Pennsylvania State Senate, 1907-1910; unmarried; died, October 2, 1907, in office of Senate, Interment, Mount Moriah Cemetery, Kimbles, Pike County, Pennsylvania.

Mount Moriah Cemetery was established by an act of the Pennsylvania Legislature and incorporated on March 27, 1855. Mount Moriah Cemetery closed its gates in April 2011 and had no owner when the last member of the board of directors died. The Orphans Court of Philadelphia granted the Mount Moriah Cemetery Preservation Corporation, a receivership in 2014.
