Early Life: 

Delos Rockwell, born August 28, 1837, Troy, Bradford County, Pennsylvania; son of Martin Luther and Johanna Marvin Rockwell; University at Lewisburg, (now Bucknell University); Madison University, Hamilton, New York (now Colgate University); studied law, admitted, Bradford County Bar, 1862; attorney, law practice, Troy, 1862-1901; enlisted, Company B, Twenty-sixth Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, Civil War, 1863; married, Eliza B. Smith, 1864, adopted son, Wesley; elected, Democrat, Pennsylvania State Senator, 1875-1876; died, February 24, 1901, (aged 63) Troy, Bradford County, Pennsylvania; interment, Oak Hill Cemetery, Troy, Bradford County, Pennsylvania. 

Early Career:

Enlisted, Company B, Twenty-sixth Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, mustered in, June 17, 1863; battle of Gettysburg, mustered out, July 30, 1863, served one month and thirteen days. 

Senior member, Rockwell and Mitchell Law.

Pennsylvania Politics: 

Elected, Democrat, Pennsylvania State Senate, 23rd district, Bradford and Wyoming Counties 1875-1876; committee assignments, Constitutional Reform, New County and County Seats and Vice and Immorality. 

Delegate, National Democratic Convention, Saint Louis, 1888, nominated, Grover Cleveland for a second term.
