YELLIG, John Bernard, a Representative from Allegheny County; born in Mariah Hill, Spencer County, In., May 17, 1862; educated in the public and private schools of Pittsburgh; steel worker, Johns and Laughlin Steel mill; assistant superintendent, Prudential Life Insurance Company; elected, school board, Wickerhsam (1893-1907); elected as a Democrat-Citizen to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1902; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1904, 1906, 1932); clerk, Allegheny County (1903-1909); Inspector, City Board of Water Inspectors, Pittsburgh (1911-1932); died, May 15, 1955 in South Fayette, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Peters Cemetery, Mount Oliver, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
