WYLIE, James Renwick, “Ren,”, a Representative from Allegheny County; born, December 14, 1861 in Elizabeth Township, Allegheny County, Pa.; graduated, public schools of Pittsburgh; graduated, Geneva College, 1887; centerfielder, Pittsburgh Alleghenys (Pittsburgh Pirates), American Association League baseball team (1882); vice president, Central National Bank of Wilkinsburg; director, State Bank of Elizabeth; president, Hampton Land Improvement Company; treasurer, Pennwood Realty Company; elected, school board, Wilkinsburg (1906-1922); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1914 and 1916; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1918); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Senate (1918, 1922); established, Wilkinsburg Trust Company; president, First National Bank of Wilkinsburg; insurance and real estate salesman; died,  August 17, 1951 in Wilkinsburg, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Homewood Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
