PETRONE, Thomas Charles, a Representative from Allegheny County; born in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pa., July 31, 1937; graduated, Crafton High School, 1955; attended, Carnegie Institute of Technology, 1955-1956; attended, the Pittsburgh Playhouse; served, "U.S.S. Allen M. Sumner," United States Navy (1956-1958); employed, David Lawrence’s gubernatorial campaign (1959); sales management and public relations (20 years); employed, industrial waste treatment (1965); member, Allegheny County Democratic Committee (16 years); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1980; reelected to 13 consecutive terms thereafter; appointed, Joint Legislative Air and Water Pollution Control and Conservation Committee (1991-2008); appointed, Select Committee on Alternatives for the Operation of the Philadelphia International Airport (2000); not a candidate for reelection to the House (2008); died, August 5, 2014 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Resurrection Cemetery, Coraopolis, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
