STEEL, Samuel A., a Representative from Allegheny County; born, July 14, 1843 in Washington County, Pa.; attended, Iron City Business College; building contractor; elected, council, Wilkinsburg (1889-1907); elected, president, Western Pennsylvania Volunteer Firemen’s Association; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1907 and 1909 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1911 term; died, October 4, 1911 in Wilkinsburg, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Homewood Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
