KIRKER, William Bredem, a Representative from Allegheny County; born, November 21, 1860 in Butler, Butler County, Pa.; attended, University of Western Pennsylvania (now University of Pittsburgh); clerk, Prothonotary's office, Allegheny County; member, Allegheny County Republican Committee (37 years); lawyer (1893-1922); elected, delegate, Republican State Convention (1893); elected, burgess, solicitor, justice of the peace and council, Bellevue; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1901 and 1903 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the 1905 term; clerk, Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas, Allegheny County (1905-1906); elected, prothonotary, Allegheny County (1907-1920); died, April 4, 1922 in Erie, Erie County, Pennsylvania; interred, Highwood Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
