FARMER, Elaine F., a Representative from Allegheny County; born, March 14, 1937 in New Castle, Lawrence County, Pa.; graduated, New Castle High School, 1955; B.A., business administration, Flora Stone Mather College of Western Reserve University, 1958; M.A., education, Western Reserve University (now Case Western Reserve University), 1964; supervisor, Stouffer Corporation; teacher; businesswoman; manager, Howard Hanna Real Estate Services, Franklin Park; elected, council, McCandless (1980-1986); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1986; served 4 more consecutive terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1996); died, August 6, 2001 in McCandless Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Allegheny Memorial Park, Allison Park, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
