HENDERSON, John H. a Representative from Allegheny County; born, September 9, 1866 in Meadville, Crawford County, Pa.; educated in the public schools; attended, Carrier Institute; attended, Allegheny College; attorney (1889-1928); chair, executive committee, Allegheny City Republican Committee; elected, delegate, Republican State Convention (1889); elected, Allegheny City Council (1897-1898); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives 1898; reelected in 1900 and 1904; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1902); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1906); elected, council, city of Pittsburgh (1919-1922); elected, controller, city of Pittsburgh (1922-1928); died, December 22, 1928 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Union Dale Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
