HALFERTY, Frank Jones, a Representative from Allegheny County; born in West Fairfield, Westmoreland County, Pa., March 8, 1863; attended, West Fairfield Academy; attended, Iron City Business College; school teacher (3 years); employed, Pennsylvania Railroad Company:  trainsman (1877-1881), passenger train conductor (1877-1900), station agent, Homewood (1900-1933); elected, school board, Homewood (6 years); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1908 and 1910; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1912); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1916); died, November 17, 1945 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Homewood Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
