GABIG, William I., a Representative from Cumberland County; born, 1956 in Virginia; graduated, Trinity High School, 1975; B.S., St. Vincent College, 1979; J.D., Duquesne Law School, 1985; officer, Judge Advocate General’s Corps, United States Navy; attorney; Assistant District Attorney, Dauphin County; senior Assistant District Attorney, Cumberland County; part-time instructor, Troy State University’s Armed Forces Branch Campus; instructor, Pennsylvania Game Commission Academy; chair, Cumberland County Victim Witness Policy Board; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 2001 term and served 4 consecutive terms thereafter; appointed, board, Pennsylvania Commission on Sentencing (2001-2002); appointed, Select Committee on Information Security (2006); not a candidate for reelection to the House (2010).
