REED, Francis "Frank" McClure, a Representative from Allegheny County; born, Jefferson Township, Allegheny County, Pa. on September 26, 1874; attended, Slippery Rock State Normal School (now Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania); attended, Grove City College; professional football player, center, Pittsburgh Athletic Club (1895-1896); employed, transcribing department, Commissioners Office, Allegheny County (1895-1896);  elected, council president, Wilson Borough; school director, Jefferson Township; elected, council, Clairton; works manager, Morris and Bailey Steel Company, Clairton (20 years); director, Union Trust Company and First National Bank, Clairton; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1930 and 1932; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House in the 1934 General election; died, February 22, 1940 in Jefferson Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Lebanon Church Cemetery, West Mifflin, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
