PERRY, David R., a Representative from Blair County; born, October 16, 1896 in Altoona, Blair County, Pa; attended, Altoona High School; attended, Susquehanna University; attended, Cornell University; LL.B., Dickinson College School of Law (now Penn State Dickinson Law); served, United States Army (World War I); captain, United States Army Reserves; lawyer; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1932 and 1936 (Sworn-In on December 1, 1936); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1934, 1938); special deputy attorney general, Pennsylvania Unemployment Compensation; secretary to the Governor of Pennsylvania (1947-1948); gubernatorial appointee, co-chairman, Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (1949-1954); died, October 22, 1982 in Camp Hill, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Rose Hill Cemetery, Altoona, Blair County, Pennsylvania.
