JONES, Paul Ford, a Representative from Allegheny County; born, August 23, 1909 in Louisville, Jefferson County, Ky.; graduated, University of Pittsburgh; graduated, Duquesne University Law School; lieutenant, United States Army Reserve; attorney; clerk, Treasurer’s office, Allegheny County (3 years); Workmen’s Compensation referee, Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, Pittsburgh (4 years); secretary, board of directors, Hill City; chair, Allegheny County Colored Democratic Organization; chairman, Legal Redress Committee, NAACP; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1950 and 1952; resigned from the House, January 5, 1954; elected, council, Pittsburgh (1954-1960); died, July 7, 1960 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Allegheny Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
