PETTIT, Albert W., a Representative from Allegheny and Washington Counties; born in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pa., October 18, 1930; graduated, Euclid High School, Cleveland, Oh., 1948; B.A., The Pennsylvania State University, 1952; J.D., University of Virginia Law School, 1957; first lieutenant, Infantry, United States Army, (1952-1954, Korean War); attended, JAG School (1956-1957); attended, Military Intelligence School, Presido, Ca. (1960); director, Human Resources and National Labor Relations, Westinghouse Electric Corporation; member, civil service committee, Upper St. Clair Township (1977-1982); elected, council chair, Upper St. Clair Township (1988-1993); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1992; reelected in 1994 and 1996; died while in office, June 5, 1997 in Upper St. Clair Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
