RAYMOND, Ronald C., a Representative from Delaware County; born in the city of Chester, Delaware County, Pa., May 10, 1951; graduated, Sharon Hill High School, 1969; attended, Widener University; real estate agent; member, Republican Committee, Folcroft Borough (1973-1976); elected, council, Folcroft Borough (1976); alternate delegate, Republican National Convention (1976); chair, Sharon Hill Republican Committee (1978-1981); elected, council, Sharon Hill (1978-1981); elected, mayor, Sharon Hill (1981-1984); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1984; reelected to 11 consecutive terms thereafter; appointed, Legislative Budget and Finance Committee (1987-2008); appointed, Select Committee on Land Use and Growth Management (1990); appointed, Select Committee on Alternatives for the Operation of the Philadelphia International Airport (2000); not a candidate for reelection to the House (2008); government affairs manager, Crisci Associates; chief legislative officer, Versant Strategies.
