BAINE, Joseph B., a Representative from Allegheny County; born, Rankin, Allegheny County, Pa. in 1905; attended, Westinghouse Technical Night School; public accountant; unsuccessful campaign, burgess, Rankin (1933); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1934 and 1936; appointed, Joint Legislative Commission Created to Study Bituminous Coal Mines (1937-1938); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1938); tax accountant, Sales and Use Division, Pennsylvania Department of Revenue (1953-1970); died, March 28, 1977 in Braddock, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, All Saints Braddock Catholic Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
