STEVENS, Dennis D., a Representative from Allegheny County; born, Conneautville, Crawford County, Pa. on August 7, 1915; attended, Allegheny College, 1936-1937; served, Combat Engineer Corps, United States Army (1942-1944, World War II); life insurance representative; Republican County Committeeman (3 terms); treasurer, Wilkinsburg Republican Committee (1 term); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1956 and 1958; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1960); materials cost superintendent; unsuccessful Democratic campaign, United States Congress (1966); unsuccessful Democratic campaign, Pennsylvania Lieutenant Governor (1978); died, August 6, 1992 in Pennsylvania.
