CLAY, Curtis J., a Representative from Allegheny County; born in Piedmont, Mineral County, WV., July 12, 1908; graduated, Scott High School; B.A., University of Pittsburgh, 1932; M.A., University of Pittsburgh, 1939; teacher; principal, Bell Avenue Elementary School; public relations director, Kennywood Amusement Park (35 years); superintendent, North Braddock school district (1958-1970); trustee, Indiana University of Pennsylvania (1960-1968); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1966; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1968); died, November 1, 1978 in Braddock, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, All Saints Braddock Catholic Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
