ROBERTS, Lawrence, a Representative from Fayette County; born in Uniontown, Fayette County, Pa., November 18, 1941; graduated, Uniontown High School, 1959; A.A., education, Yuba County College, 1975; A.A., electrical technology, Community College of the Air Force, 1977; A.A., resource management, Community College of the Air Force, 1980; B.A., sociology, Bowie State College, 1979; M.A., business, Central Michigan University, 1982; served, United States Air Force (1968-1972, 1974-1982); loan officer and director, Seymour Johnson Federal Credit Union (1979-1983); Federal Government management and organization analyst (1983-1991); self-employed arbitrator (1983-1993); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1992; reelected to serve 6 more consecutive terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (2006).
