Short Title:
An Act providing for the Southwestern Pennsylvania Regional Renaissance Initiative; establishing the Regional Renaissance Authority and governing board for the authority; authorizing the authority to finance and support regional destination facilities; providing for the preparation of county growth plans; empowering the authority to issue bonds and notes; authorizing the levying of an additional tax on the sale and use of tangible personal property and services by a referendum; increasing the hotel tax in counties of the second class; establishing the Southwestern Pennsylvania Convention Center Design Commission; establishing a fund to finance regional destination facilities and a separate fund to finance regional growth projects; providing for the use of revenues generated by additional taxes and for the conveyance of the David L. Lawrence Convention Center; and making repeals.
