Subject: Building Safety Month Resolution
 
Please join us in co-sponsoring a resolution designating May 2017 as Building Safety Month in Pennsylvania. The theme for Building Safety month this year is "Code Officials — Partners in Community Safety and Economic Growth.”

Building Safety Month serves as a reminder to the public about the critical role played by building safety and fire prevention officials, architects, engineers, builders, tradespeople, design professionals, laborers and others in the construction industry who work year-round to ensure the safe construction of buildings and that the places where we live, learn, work, worship and play are safe. The resolution is supported by the International Code Council (ICC), the Pennsylvania Association of Building Code Officials, and other ICC Chapters in the Commonwealth.
