Subject:	Resolution-School Library Month

I plan to introduce a resolution to designate April 2017 as school library month in Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania’s school libraries are an important asset to Pennsylvania’s youth as they prepare for a future characterized by change. School library programs promote literacy and the enjoyment of reading and also provide Pennsylvania’s children with access to information and technology. Please join me in co-sponsoring this Resolution to express appreciation to those who work there, and to encourage all students to explore and take advantage of the services offered at their school libraries.
