Subject: Resolution designating the month of March 2017 as "International DeMolay Month" in Pennsylvania
 
I intend to offer a Resolution designating the month of March 2017 as "International DeMolay Month" in Pennsylvania.

The Order of DeMolay is a character-building organization of young men from 12 to 21 years of age who are preparing themselves to become better citizens and leaders of tomorrow. DeMolay helps develop those character traits which have strengthened good men of all ages. DeMolay has carried out its goals through programs of athletic competition, social activity, civic service and charitable projects.

In 2017, members of the Order of DeMolay are observing the 98th anniversary of the Order of DeMolay. My resolution would designate the month of March 2017 as "International DeMolay Month" in Pennsylvania.

I sponsored a similar Resolution last year, SR 307, which was cosponsored by Senators HAYWOOD, GREENLEAF, EICHELBERGER, FONTANA, DINNIMAN, ARGALL, RAFFERTY, WHITE, COSTA, MENSCH and HUGHES.
