Subject: Professional Social Workers Month
 
I will be introducing a resolution next month recognizing March as "Professional Social Work Month" in Pennsylvania.
Social workers help meet the basic needs of all people, especially the most vulnerable. They provide support to veterans and their families and access to treatments that comfort and strengthen our neighbors.
They care for young and old with the dignity, care and concern that defines the character of our communities and society.
I hope you will join me in recognizing their importance ot our communites. Senators who co-sponsored a similar resolution last year, SR 306, included Senators Fontana, Sabatina, Greenleaf, Browne, Dinniman, Brewster, Argall, Rafferty, Costa, Rafferty, Mensch, Yudichak, Scavello, Farnese, Vulakovich and Hughes.


Introduced as SR53
