Subject: | Resolution – Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Awareness Month |
In the near future, I plan on introducing a resolution designating the month of October 2016 as “Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Awareness Month” in Pennsylvania. ADHD is a neurobehavioral disorder that is one of the most common childhood disorders and can continue through adolescence and adulthood. Inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity are the key behaviors of ADHD. Over six million children in the United States are affected by ADHD. The average age of onset is seven years old and boys are four times more at risk than girls. Please join me in supporting this resolution. |
